A leaping dolphin rendered in two-tone precious metal: a sleek 18K yellow-gold body with platinum-set pavé diamonds along the back, dorsal line, and flukes, and a single square shape emerald for the eye. Total diamond weight is 1.33 carats of round brilliants; the emerald is 0.09 carat. The brooch measures 1.60 × 1.40 inches and weighs 11.5 grams.
The form is caught mid-arc, snout lifted, tail curled beneath. Polished yellow gold gives the belly, pectoral fin, and snout a warm, liquid sheen. Platinum (or white-metal) panels on the back and tail are densely set with round diamonds so the upper surface reads as spray and light. A small emerald-cut emerald is set as the eye—a sharp point of green against the gold and white.
