Emerald Diamond Lapis Lazuli 18K Yellow Gold Heron Bird in Lagoon Brooch Pendant
A sculptural heron stands in a still lagoon, framed by a rich circular cabochon of deep-blue lapis lazuli. The bird is rendered in textured 18K yellow gold, crest and long beak finely detailed, one leg planted on a gold “log” that drifts across the open center. Smaller gold forms suggest water and shoreline; eight round shape emeralds and four round shape diamonds are set into those surfaces like reflected light on the lagoon.
The piece measures approximately 1.4 × 1.6 inches and weighs 22.9 grams. Dual fittings allow it to be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. The lapis frame is substantial and polished; the gold work is warm and dimensional against the stone.
