A superb example of the fine red variety of tourmaline called rubelite. This example shaped as an oval weighs 9.17 carats and has a vivid red color that rivals the finest rubies, giving the stone the name “ruby like” aka rubelite. It is accented by 1.12 carats of channel set baguette cut diamonds along with marquise shapes on its sides. Hand fabricated in platinum, a gem of a tourmaline.
